About WNYESC
The Western New York Educational Services Council (WNYESC) is a not-for-profit educational organization representing school districts and educational institutions throughout the greater Western New York area. WNYESC formed in the post-World War II period as a collaboration between the University at Buffalo School of Education and regional superintendents to support the work of WNY school districts during an era of unprecedented growth and changes in K-12 education.
Chartered by the NYS Board of Regents in 1966, WNYESC has become a leading provider of training and professional development on the most consequential topics relevant for today’s schools as well as special projects/consultancy services to further the goals of its member institutions. The mission of WNYESC remains to support educational leadership and help shape decisions and policies in schools to improve stronger student experiences by cultivating thriving communities of learning and growth.
