On behalf of our Board of Directors, we would like to thank you all for your support of the Service Council through the years.
The Service Council was formally chartered almost 60 years ago. Much has changed through the years for school leaders and the Council. Over the next year, the WNYESC Board of DIrectors would like to engage in a year-long strategic planning process as a way to ensure that our work best reflects the needs of those we serve- educational leaders from across the region.
Next month, the Board will begin conversation around the organization's mission and vision. To that end, we are seeking the input of Superintendents and other school leaders from the Orleans-Niagara, Genesee Valley, Cattaraugus-Allegany, Erie 1 and Erie 2 BOCES. Attached here is a QR code and link to a Thought Exchange asking for input around what WNY's educational leaders believe should be our mission and vision and how well we are doing in meeting it.
As you likely know, the Thought Exchange poses a prompt for consideration and reactions from participants. It also provides an opportunity to review others' thoughts and rate/ respond to them as well. Here is the prompt we offer for consideration:
How well do you believe the work of the Western New York Educational Service Council aligns with what you believe its mission should be? What additional actions or initiatives could the Council take to better support your district or school?
Stakeholders can access the Thought Exchange prompt by clicking here or using the QR code above.
Please consider taking a second to consider the prompt and offer your thoughts and reactions. Your input will be quite valuable when the Board meets again in September.
